frogs

dragonflies ( snakedoctors to you yankees) and baby frogs have decimated the mosquito and gnat population. about time! i watched a frog the size of my small fingernail drag down a huge mosquito yesterday. it took it about 5 minutes, but there was never a 10-year old boy prouder of his first deer than this little frog was of its kill. of course, the mosquito was too large for it to eat, so it sat there until a larger frog came along. it ate the little frog and the mosquito.... so it goes at purgatory ranch.
